Youth Education & Teacher Resources

Teaching youth about natural resources provides future leaders and stewards with an appreciation and understanding of the land. The youth program of cooperative extension is 4-H. Natural Resources Extension has developed a full set of curriculum on forest, wildlife, and water resources for 4-H youth. In addition, From the Woods educational publication series and the Sustainable Forestry Teacher Resource Center Web site were develeped for teachers. The Web site contains forestry, wildlife, earth science, and water lesson plans that address Pennsylvania's environmental and ecology state standards.
