Forest Stewardship

The 17 million forested acres covering the state have incalculable cultural and social value to the residents and visitors of Pennsylvania. This program assists private forest landowners with taxes, property easements, nontimber forest products, agroforestry, and maple syrup production and helps them achieve their objectives for their land. Extension faculty produce publications, refer landowners to district and consulting foresters, and train district foresters, consulting foresters, and private landowners.
