Welcome to the Pennsylvania Forests Web Seminar Center

The PA Forests Web Seminar Center provides web-based educational programs and materials for forest owners, extension educators, and natural resource professionals. The center’s goal is to offer “live” seminars on forest resource related topics. A listing of scheduled seminar topics and dates is available on the Upcoming Seminars link. You can view previously recorded seminars and educational material by clicking the Previous Seminars link.

To make this learning approach most useful for you and others, we encourage you to provide us with seminar topics for our consideration. To share your ideas and to offer comments please use the Contact Us link.

Participation

Everyone is welcome to participate in live seminars; however, you first must register (see below). Previously recorded seminars are available to everyone who visits the site.

After registering, to participate in a live seminar, go to the seminar on-line meeting area. The on-line meeting area is a web page, with a unique web address, that allows you to view, listen to, and interact with a live seminar. We will send you an email a few days before the event, and again the day of the event, that contains a link to the meeting area. Or you can go to the Upcoming Seminars page and click on the seminar time for the seminar you wish to attend.

At the on-line meeting area you can view and hear the presentation and ask questions using the chat feature. Presentations will usually last about an hour, though sometimes questions can run long.

Registration

To register, use the Register Now link. Once you successfully register, we will send notices of upcoming seminars to your email address. We will only use your email for this purpose and will not share it with others.

What You Will Need

To view live and previously recorded seminars you will need a high-speed Internet connection and sound. Participation in the web seminar does not require any special software.

Thanks for visiting this site, we look forward to your participation in upcoming seminars and we welcome your feedback.
