Participation

Everyone is welcome to participate in live seminars; however, you first must register. Previously recorded seminars are available to everyone who visits the site.

After registering, to participate in a live seminar, go to the seminar on-line meeting area. The on-line meeting area is a web page, with a unique web address, that allows you to view, listen to, and interact with a live seminar. We will send you an email a few days before the event, and again the day of the event, that contains a link to the meeting area. Or you can click on the seminar time below for the seminar you wish to attend.

As you join a live seminar, you will be asked to provide your Penn State userID and password. Once in the site, you will see a welcome page. About five minutes before the scheduled start the presenter and host will begin talking so you can test sound quality and your ability to use the chat feature to ask questions.

At the on-line meeting area you can view and hear the presentation and ask questions using the chat feature. Presentations will usually last about an hour, though sometimes questions can run long.

To view live seminars you will need a high-speed Internet connection and sound. Participation in the web seminar does not require any special software.
