Virtual tour is an opportunity to tour the demonstration forest via the web. Pictures and text illustrate various harvesting treatments and show wildlife habitat.

Parking:
Bus and car parking is available next to demonstration site.

Public Access:
Tours are available and are scheduled in advance with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry forester at the state forest office. Schools welcome.

Trail Conditions:
The trails are well marked and well maintained. The terrain ranges from relatively flat to slight incline.

Numbered interpretative signs identify all stations. Self-guided tour brochures are available at the state forest office near Laurelton. The office is located on Rt. 45, eight miles west of Mifflinburg and eight miles east of Woodward.

History:
The mixed-oak stands began growing around 1900 when the previous stand was cut for timber during the turn of the century logging boom.

Directions:
Take I 80 to Rt. 15 South towards Lewisburg. Take Rt. 15 seven miles and make a right on Rt. 45/ W. Market St. Follow Rt. 45 through Mifflinburg. Stoney Run Road is on the right eight miles past Mifflinburg. Turn right on Stoney Run Road, the demonstration site is 0.4 miles on the right. Stoney Run Road is also eight miles east of Woodward on Rt. 45.
